I feel your pain. But I also must tell you to get over yourself by knowing that not everyone is going to be into you.

I’m a black woman in the mainly white and Asian city of San Francisco. I admit, SF is waayy less racist than Boston, but I still heard “I don’t date Black women” or “my preference is for white or Asian women,” or my favorite “I just don’t find black women attractive.” (How can you not find a whole race of people attractive? Thankfully I’ve never had this problem!)

It may get you down, but realize that everyone deals with discrimination while dating. Some men are too short for some, some women are too “curvy”, someone else might not be well traveled enough…whatever. Even a Playboy Bunny or movie star is not going to be attractive to every single man in the world.

Date those who want to date you and you’ll be fine. You can’t force others to be attracted to you. Start focusing on the women that DO want to date you. Trust me, they’re out there. Easy as that.
