A few days ago, over a couple of drinks Textaholic chatted me up. He was funny. He was nice. He was cute. He was from my home state. He wanted my number. And so, with a nudge from Vodka, I whipped out my business card. About thirty minutes after leaving my data in his hands, the craziness began. For three days, I received incessant text messages from him. It would have been one thing if his text messages were of the “normal” nature, but they weren’t. They were relentless snippets of wackiness. Finally, after not responding for two days, the messages ceased. Either Textaholic got the hint, or he had been asked to participate on Intervention.

Another thing to consider if you pick up guys with your business card is that you may also be picking up a Google, Facebook, etc. stalker. Your full name, phone number, and email address make you pretty searchable. One suggestion is to create a card specifically for dating purposes. This way you can give out only the information that you’re comfortable with, such as your first name, a separate email address, etc. Or just avoid this obstacle all together: keep your cards to yourself, take theirs. Then, it’s all in your hands.

It all started when I found out my “husband to be” was not the greatest in bed. He was smaller than my average partners and he was not able to perform as I expected—a very big disappointment in my sexual life. This was the main reason why I decided to seek other options. However, I did not go to just anyone out there. I was talking about my sex life one of my friends who is also my ex. He actually knows my fiancé and I know his girlfriend. He was telling me that his sex life was not too good either. He’s dating a much older lady and the sex was becoming boring, so we had much in common.
